Alison Horner – owner

Alison decided to open The Makeup & Hair Bar after working in the industry for the past 8 years. She started off as a makeup artist and then progressing into business management, manging teams in some of the most prestigious department stores such as Harrods.

Alison’s vision was to have a salon which offered all makeup, hair and beauty services under one roof by the best professionals in the industry – many which she has worked with throughout her career.

Alison prides herself in her team and never advertises to recruit, as she likes to have personally worked with her staff or been recommended by trusted industry colleagues.

She was awarded NARS Artist of The Year 2018 representing Europe. Alison’s passion is team management but occasionally will take on makeup appointments in the salon during busy times.

Catherine Samuelson – Senior MAkeup Artist

Treatments offered:

Catherine is a highly skilled, professional senior makeup artist. Having spent 9+ years within the makeup and fashion industry, she has experienced working across all age groups, skin types/tones and styles. Catherine specialises in bridal, soft glam, everyday, 1-1 lessons and editorial makeup. Catherine is a certified MAC and Charlotte Tilbury makeup artist, having worked for both brands for 4 years. She also has a fashion styling degree, where she studied fashion and editorial makeup for over 3 years.


Eleanor Veness – Senior Makeup Artist

Treatments offered:

Eleanor has over 5 years experience in the makeup industry, working across bridal, event, commercial and editorial sectors. She is a NARS senior makeup artist and has been lucky to work with some of the biggest names in her career, such as fashion brands of the likes of Erdem, TV starts, bloggers and even members of the royal family!

Eleanor can accommodate to all makeup styles such as natural to full glam, all skin tones and ages.

Rochelle Malin – Senior Bridal Makeup Aritst & Hair Stylist

Treatments offered:

Rochelle has worked in the makeup industry for over 10 years, having a huge experience specifically in the bridal industry. She has done over 500 weddings in her career, including 5 abroad!

With Rochelle’s knowledge, expertise and experience she knows how to make her brides feel as ease and comfortable throughout the process. Being able to advise and determine a look that will, not mask but enhance your natural features and beauty on your big day.


Ellie Maynard – Beauty Therapist

Treatments offered:

Ellie has over 7 years experience working as a beauty therapist. She has a very calming nature and a true eye for detail, a perfectionist delivering only the highest standards in all the treatments that she offers. Ellie has worked across high end salons in her career, accruing a loyal client base. Ellie’s most popular treatment is HD brows, she is highly skilled in perfecting brows to suit her clients face, especially picking tinting pigments to compliment natural blonde and red hair toned clients.

Chloe Cooper – Senior Hair Stylist

Treatments offered:

Chloe has worked in the industry for over 5 years, having gained a level 7 qualification is Makeup and Hair. She studied a makeup and hair degree as Southampton Solent University, where she graduated with a first. Since then, she has worked as a senior hair stylist and makeup artist becoming well known locally for her bouncy blowdrys! Chloe has always had a passion for hair since she was a little girl, and has recently trained alongside PS hair extensions to become a junior extensionist.


Poppy Saunders – Hair Extensionist

Treatments offered:

Poppy is a multi award winning hair extensionist, the founder of PS hair extensions, PS training academy and PS pro. 

She has been fitting hair extensions for the past 9 years, her priority always being the safety, comfort and confidence of her clients. Proudly only offering the methods of application that are deemed the safest.

Poppy is a Hair Made Easi brand ambassador and Beauty Works master extensionist. She works with the leading brands in the industry and has fitted extensions for many famous faces.

Rayhana Osman – Nail Manicurist

Treatments offered:

Rayhana is a London based nail technician and founder of 5ivenails. She started nails as a hobby in recent years after completing a beauty therapist course when she was younger, however since then she has become well established in the nail industry being recognised by brands such as OPI, Navy Pro Tools, BioSculpture to name a few – going on to have her work featured in vogue! She was only due to be in the salon twice a month originally, but due to building a loyal client base and high demand we are now lucky to have her in with us up to 3 times a week.

She is a true perfectionist, delivering the most precise manicure and using only the highest quality products on the market.


Lucy Jones – Creative Stylist

Treatments offered:

Lucy has been a creative hair stylist for the past 6 years, working in high end salons and being trained by some of the most renowned colour couture stylists in the industry.

Alongside cutting and colouring, Lucy loves to do bouncy blowdrys and styling for her clients going out.

Judy Moci – Celebrity brow expert

We have London based brow specialist Judy, founder of Brows By Dua in with us twice a month to cater to your brow needs. Judy boasts a huge famous faced clientele doing some of the biggest names in the model, influencer and celebrity industry. She is insanely talented and only has trained with the leading brands and specialists such as Brow Code and LVL, to ensure she has highest level of knowledge in techniques.

Rosie Gill – Makeup Artist

Treatments offered:

Rosie has over 9 years experience in the makeup industry, having first qualified in a level 4 makeup diploma 7 years ago. She has a variation of experience, having worked for makeup brands such as Clinique, Dior, as a makeup artist and manager whilst also gaining a large freelance clientele. Rosie’s speciality is bridal makeup, she loves enhancing natural beauty and not masking it.

Tammy, founder of renew clinic has over 6 years experience being a skin and body specialist offering medical advanced facials and body treatments such as Aqualyx fat dissolving injections. She is from a medical background, being a certified phlebotomist having studied medical research in London. Having clinics across Essex, Kent and Harley Street she boasts a huge clienetele of many happy clients. Her work has been recognised by the likes of vogue, net-a-porter and Close Up magazine.
